Espaido Seitai School

Magda Barneda is the owner of the Espaido Seitai School. Magda has spent her entire life studying and observing the mind and body. Her passion for learning and her great capacity for study and observation have led her to an untiring exploration of all types of activities since 1968. These disciplines include Yoga, Seitai, Reflexology, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Developmental Behavioural Modelling (DBM®), to name just a few.

Certified by the AEPY (the Spanish Association of Yoga Practitioners), she taught yoga at several centres in Barcelona between 1972 and 1990.
 
Magda started practicing Seitai in 1973 under Katsumi Mamine, a direct disciple of Haruchika Noguchi, the founder of Seitai. Since that time, she has continually deepened her understanding of Seitai by attending a wide range of courses and seminars taught by Katsumi Mamine, Nomura Sensei and H. Noguchi’s sons in Barcelona, Paris and Tokyo.

Over the course of these years, she has actively practiced Seitai in her personal life with her family, as a student and, since 1979, as a Seitai instructor at the Cerdanyola Seitai Centre and other centres in Barcelona.

In 1999, Magda met John McWhirter, the director and instructor of Sensory Systems Training in DBM and PNL, as well as the creator of the DBM methodology. Under his tutelage, she has studied Systemic Counselling and obtained a Master’s in Applied Psychology using the DBM Methodology from the University of Valencia.

Dojo EspaiDo

In 2004, Magda founded her own school –EspaiDo- in order to share her knowledge and passion with others. EspaiDo is a space for the observation, exploration and investigation of how the human body functions. The centre consists of a room in which individual sessions, weekly classes and courses are given. EspaiDo is in Sant Pere de Ribes, 40 km south of the city of Barcelona.

Dojo EspaiDo Barcelona

The Dojo is located in Sant Guillem Street 27, a calm street in a well communicated and very centric area nearby Plaza Molina and Lesseps. The dojo has a large room and smaller one, where individual sessions, weekly classes and courses of Seitai are given. The Dojo also offers the service of renting of rooms. Magda also gives individual sessions and courses in Barcelona and in Switzerland.

New Dojo in Pau

In the middle of 2006, Magda embarked upon a new project, the creation of a Seitai training centre in the municipality of Pau. This dojo will have spacious, large halls and rooms in which courses will be taught. Pau is a small village on the Costa Brava, 8 kilometres from the sea and next to a nature reserve. This tranquil setting is the ideal place for communing with nature and practicing Seitai. We will update this site with any new developments.
